SITE ENGINEER - SCOTLAND

Due to future expansion we are seeking to supplement our existing team with Setting-Out/Site Engineers throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.

Contracts undertaken generally include bulk earthworks, roads and sewers, mains services and plotwork's for the Major Developers and House Builders.

The successful applicant will be experienced in setting-out and in the use of all instrumentation. They should be able to read and interpret drawings. Experience working as a setting-out engineer within a house building environment would be preferred.

PERMANENT SITE ENGINEER - SCOTLAND

Contract Scotland are looking for an experienced site engineer seeking the next career challenge.  S

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Site Engineer on civils and groundworks projects – with a primary focus on sewers, road, drainage, concrete and hard landscaping multi-disciplinary projects and/or maintenance frameworks.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting out and surveying the site.
  • Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Obtain permits and warrants.
  • Ensure that the company quality procedures are maintained at all times.
  • Seek to complete project on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior staff on site.
  • Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.

Background/experience required:

  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
  • Previous experience setting-out for groundworks and infrastructure projects
  • Appropriate civil engineering qualification - i.e HND/C or Degree.
  • CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • You should have a valid CSCS card.

FREELANCE SITE ENGINEER - SCOTLAND

Contract Scotland are looking for a freelance site engineer with highways experience on a freelance basis for a prestigious civil engineering project based in Perth.

This is a 3 month contract initially which could be extended if the client are happy with the progress of the successful candidate.

This client only offers PAYE as a tax payment method.

The role will involve;

  • Setting out for roads and drainage
  • Record keeping
  • Quality Assurance
  • 10-12 hour working days with weekend working.

Experience required;

  • HNC or above in Civil Engineering
  • Experience of setting out for roads and drainage
  • CSCS

In return you will gain experience of working for a well-respected tier 1 contractor on one of their flagship projects.
