What you'll get:

Once you have completed the distance learning, you have the option of completing the 1 day assessment and receiving the CITB Assured certificate for the 5 day course Setting Out for Construction. Your achievement is uploaded to your profile on the CITB Construction Training Register so that employers and potential employers can verify that you have completed the training to a recognised standard.

You can only complete the assessment once you have completed the distance learning.

Once you’re confident with all the exercises we can arrange a date for the assessment and theory test in Glasgow. The assessment can be arranged at other locations but we would need to charge for travelling time and expenses. You can do the assessment at any time you feel ready, and we think you are ready.

The assessment is purely a test so the tutor cannot help or coach in any way. Full details for the assessment and the marking criteria will be provided in advance.  The default equipment provided for the assessment is a Lecia TS07, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment along.  If you fail any parts of the assessment, you can re-sit them at a cost of £250+VAT per half day (minimum charge is a half-day).
